After the race where Nick Hines horse was nosed for the win, Hines broke down sobbing while being interviewed. Todd Schrupp followed up that interview by taking a shot at message boards and the people who spend all day on them. Apparently Nick Hines must have been ridiculed on some message board. but it just irritates me when they do that. Its been more than one occaison when they go off on message boards like the people that frequent them are all a bunch of loser freaks.

They are coming across as desparate.

It's interesting that they took a shot at message boards seeing as ESPN seems to be putting out a better product each year and some of these improvements are the very things that have been mentioned on boards. Maybe it's coincidential or someone emailed them the suggestions, but TVG could learn something from them too...starting with less air time for Ken Rudolph. ;)

i am rather new to TVG, but why is this guy on the air? He is the worst.

Obviously a lot of stuff on message boards is crap but that doesn't mean there is nothing of value on them. I have been helped a lot in doing my show by things people have said on different message boards. I guess it's just a matter of whether or not you are interested.

But you didn't shave your goatee as someone suggested! ;)

I have a very good friend that didn't know me before I grew my goatee ( it's been almost ten years ) and one day he was at my place and I was showing him a tape of a show I did back at NYRA in the mid 90s.

He honestly asked me who the guy was with Watchmaker.

thats all true, we know all too well that its a mixed bag, and that you have to filter a lot. At the end of the day though I find lots of residual value in places like this one.

But to complain about message board banter, and message board people, while On-Air, only tells me that Todd Schrupp spends a lot of time reading message boards. In a way he is, as we say, "feeding the trolls" by showing irritation with something that was said on a message board. We all know that the best way to deal with that stuff is to ignore it.

Correct!
Kent will ride the race like this...
Tuck in to 3rd until the 5f pole.
Move him up...all out.
Relax on the lead.
Start the whip at the 7f.

Stand up at the 9f pole.

Finish 14th....then blame the tired gerbil.

This TVG/HRTV/CDI/NYRA stuff has gotten really really really gay....

It seems that no one is handling it with class. Disappointing to say the least.

Horse racing comes off as trashy a lot of the time.
