i dont think it was the race that great hunter won, but im not sure, i think ravel won it though, he ran in it as a maiden and got pulled up or just ran last

Thanks. I'll watch the maiden race again later.

It's hard for me to blame Tagg for the foolish spots this horse continually races in, as he's just too good a trainer to be this consistently wrong, but whomever is to blame should be ashamed of themselves. How about a confidence booster?

Boy is the bloom ever off the Sackatoga rose?

Honestly, unless he freaks on polytrack, he has very little chance.

I was very tired of hearing all the BS about Funny Cide, and people claiming he was much better than he was, but now I find myself rooting for him. The poor horse is always in seemingly over his head, and if you look at his pps for last year he performed consistantly well throughout the year. I just wish he was spotted better.

Yeah, Spankey Come Home pulled a "Broad Brush" on that race. A VERY oddly run race. To be honest, I just don't see what the hooplah is around this horse. Sure, he should win, but this is the exact type of horse that I play against regularly: an overbet closer. Haven't seen the odds yet, but I can see a few horses in here that will offer pick 3 value as mostly all i play are pick 3's and 4's.

the 4,7,8, and 12 come to mind

I was going to list that same foursome. Plus even the rail may not be hopeless.

Perhaps polytrack is kinder to laggards like this horse but I agree with your general philosphy on this kind of horse.

thank you, and about funny cide, i think me thinking he can win, is also more of my heart wanting him to win.... alot more then me actually thinking he can get it done, but i trully do belive he could have a few years of solid run in him if they can get his confidence back

Why don't you download the pps and take an actual look at the race before forming any opinion.

I'm not trying to give you a hard time at all but I just figured since you didn't know the date of Time Squared's maiden race that you didn't have the pps.

what about the " Cental Bank " Transylvania Stakes? On sheer numbers Sedgefield lays over, but can he run well on such a short rest? Are they running him too much? The Johanessburg colt seems to be improving. Sheppard's Dynaformer colt ran a decent race, can he improve enough second start? and Corbrador seems to be coming into his own.
