The Storm Cat line is too prevelant. It getting harder and harder to find breeding without it somewhere. Storm Cat has a habit of producing nasty, brittle horses. The good ones are really good. But the bad traits are passed off too.

Best sire: A.P. Indy and distorted humor. Most overrated: Kingmambo amd Broad Brush. Most underated: Quiet Am. and silver deputy. Best Future Sire: Bernardini and Ghostzapper. Best broodmare sire: Relaunch and Deputy Minister. Howevever, the best sire in the "world" is Sunday Silence.

POINTGIVEN1985 03-18-2007 10:35 PM

i love Sadler's Wells he has produced lots of monsters, but to be the best in the world, in my opinion you need more of a dirt influence.

i think your way off, distorted humor is very good but not one of the best, how is broad brush overrated ?

i realize that, but to be the best sire in the world dont you think that the sire should produce great horses on both surfaces ? thats why i think giants causeway will be the best, if he already isent. i have no problem saying sadler's wells is the best in Ireland

Why did Hancock (if he controlled his breeding rights) write off Sunday Silence so soon and sell him to Japanese interests?

A lot of money

If all else was equal I would choose Distorted Humor over Giants Causeway.

Comparing Giants Causeway and Sadlers Wells is like comparing Eli Manning and Johnny Unitas

By the way I think that Giants Causeway is really a turf sire that occasionally gets a dirt runner. Sadlers Wells is a legendary sire, perhaps the greatest sire ever in Europe. Maybe Giants Causeway can get a fair stakes horse like First Samurai on the Dirt but he is about 10 champions behind Sadlers Wells on the Turf. I believe that you may be attaching yourself to a falling star.
