It's okay though, cuz last night I had major dreamage about moving back to FL. So I spent about an hour or so looking at the South Florida area where our office is.....Can you say Gulfstream!!!! :D

Of course you had a good reason to be out on the roads, right?
Some kind of emergency maybe?

that's a benefit of being n. of the border. Had a friend pick me up on snow mobile and off to the bars we went.

How'd you do?

packerbacker7964 02-25-2007 09:56 AM

Snowed in? No. More like iced in. 1/4 inch on everything and now it's sleeting like hell won't have it. Here in the 616 holland Michigan. Irishmandan lives alittle north of me where it's going to be snowing with 30 mph winds all day long.

When we got there is was perfect out, when we got knocked out (I was first knocked out when some 'setted' my top pair top kicker) there was 8 inches on the ground, and 5 INCHES on 53. I have seen nothing like it on the highway before....even with the Envoy I was getting taken.

I just tried shoveling this crap and it was BRUTAL, heart is going a mile a minute right now

vgyweir 02-25-2007 10:12 AM

I lost my power yesterday at noon, just got it back a few minutes ago. I live 150 miles southwest of chicago, we had an inch of ice and little bit of snow.

LARHAGE 02-25-2007 10:42 AM

Gosh guys, I really, really feel for you all shoveling snow and freezing, wish I could transport you here for the day,, it was a spectacularly beautiful morning, just got back from an hour ride on my horse up in the high-desert, the snow on the mountains is gorgeous!!! I guess thats why California is so crowded! :D

Bold Reasoning 02-25-2007 11:44 AM

I live in Northwest NJ in what is called the Snow Belt. Over the years, we have gotten storms similar to the Midwest. In the last few, things have changed. Our property still has a film of ice of about an inch, with snow of about an inch over it. It is in the high twenties right now. There is no precipitation falling and little is expected in the next few days. I feel for all those dealing with the elements.

I think the weatherman missed another one.....1 inch of snow has turned into 6 inches of snow....supposed to get a little dose of sleet before it all ends....c'mon South Florida! :p

ddthetide 02-25-2007 02:11 PM

no kidding only an inch or 2? I just cleared off the cars....six inches of heavy snow here...no sleet at all...what a difference South and Braddock Mountains make I guess....

I will be more than happy to send hurricane video....lived there for 5 years and loved every minute of it.....had I known then what I know now, I would have never left.....although we weren't in South Florida we were in the Orlando area in a suberb called Lake Mary.....Absolutely loved it....

ddthetide 02-25-2007 03:48 PM

yup 2" of snow and more rain than sleet. rain/sleet only lasted 45 minutes to and hour.

i'm with you i could take the hurricane better than this crap..... i don't mind the heat and humidity. my work truck has NO ac. you get used to it i guess.
