fisrt of all i posted my three picks in the selection section blog and I lost today ,now your nasty attitude means zero to me lol

Gauchos0522 10-24-2008 06:56 PM

heart shaped really ran like crap from the 12 hole
seriously though overall they didnt run well but if you follow this notion all the way through it is bound to burn you at least once. visit ran a solid race and the synthetic euros didnt fare well. i doubt the heat is what did most of them in today.

So you don't play exotics? Just win wagers? Because that info is pretty damn useless and it can lead to redboarding exotic winners.

For example...

"Hey didja see dat dere? I picked Zenyatta and of course had 'er covered in pick 3's, 4's exacta, tri, super, dd because i'm awesome!"

We get those partial redboards all of the time. Not saying you would do that though. ;)

:wf

That's just hilarious, sadly. I long ago gave up trying to watch racing on ESPN and the XFL analogy sums it up better than I ever could have. I got so dizzy trying to watch ESPN racing that I was ready to vomit.

I play some exactas some, but mostly win and wps if good odds. Exotics with 3 or more horses , multi race bets ,no don,t play them. I'm content with moderate bets with moderate gain or loss.

Can you imagine the outrage if this was a dirt track and the times were that fast? 119.4?

blackthroatedwind 10-24-2008 07:43 PM

Great country America.

Cannon Shell 10-24-2008 07:52 PM

The worst part is the freaking start shown from ground level. you can hardly tell if your horse broke good or bad then have to try to pick them up when they change the angle going into the first turn. The blimp angle is interesting if they show it afterwards and you can see exactly what path your horse was in because you already watched it one time and know where to look. Otherwise it was awful. I'm sure that they think this is appealing to "new fans or the general public". It's 'cutting edge'! It is a fuc kin joke!

And someone should tell them overhead shots showing that half the parking lot is empty is probably not a good idea when you are trying to showcase a 'big event'.

I think that a lot of complaints that are made concerning the game or BC are sometimes misguided or unrealistic but the coverage of these races on ESPN is really close to unwatchable.

Why is it a Joke, it was a great Day of racing.

As far as Track records these are some of the best horses in the world in there respective divisions.
And do you really think if SA would have had there old dirt track they would been running any slower. SA would have had the track as hard as the the Santa Monica Free Way. Oh I forgot it was like that everyday anyway. IF you remember 10k claimers would run 108 and change everyday on the old dirt track.

THere were great story lines every where.

The track is simply too fast. Look at the times from the first 2 races which were not the best horses in the world. Read what I said again. If this track was a dirt track and the times were this fast people would be absolutely freaking out.The filly sprint was won by a dead closer who won by 4 and they shaded 120. The only filly I ever remember shading 120 ever was Melair and Ventura while a nice filly aint no Melair.

We've already seen ( or read ).....you're never right about anything.

hrfan 10-24-2008 07:59 PM

So is this only a problem or joke because i posted it ? Who really disagree's ? If Curlin losses tomorrow, who is horse of the year ?

Cannon Shell 10-24-2008 08:00 PM

I predict the race will be won by a horse with success over the course. Who, I dont know. I dont like Mr Nightliner at all.

Two races for optional $40k claimers went in 1:14.26 and 1:14.88

F/M Sprint in 1:19.90

Juvenile Fillies in 1:40.99, fastest ever for the event. Faster than any of the males ever in the Juvenile.

Distaff in 1:46.85, second fastest ever behind only Inside Information's 1:46.15 which was done around one-turn at Belmont.

Sorry Cannon I must have been typing same time as you I had not seen your post before I sent mine. No Doubt it's very fast but the old SA track was extrememly fast too I think one of the big factors is that they have no Ideal how to slow it down. But you know if every horse that raced today comes back good and lives to fight again I can live with the track being that fast

10 pnt move up 10-24-2008 08:11 PM

time is really irrelevant isnt it, as long as the track is safe. The turf course all meet has been crazy fast, but safe, where is the thread about that?

I just wish the pro ride would stop producing such crazy winners and prices, todays Breeders Cup was brutal on form.
