ok, ndfan. do you feel you should be held responsible for the actions of a buddy?
hell, cam newton was a thief, didn't keep him from winning. but a guy who was with a guy who said some things, that should keep manziel from winning?

No but he was arrested for getting in a fight with the guy the racial slurs were directed at, he's not innocent in all this.

you're reaching.

''He was charged with misdemeanors including disorderly conduct, failure to identify and possessing false I.D.'' egads, why is he not in jail????? throw the book at him.

If it was NDs qb tommy Rees goon for heisman if say absolutely not after he was arrested before the season. This award is a privilege, you should be held to a higher standard to win the award although I know that hasn't always been the case. Try finding dirt on manti teo, you'll be looking a long time and come up empty.

I'm not saying throw him in jail, but the heisman is suppose to be about on the field and off the field, someone who represents way a college athlete is. Look up the whole spew on what the heisman recognizes.

Danzig 11-27-2012 12:12 PM

after seeing newton get the award, there is no way anyone can say a thing about manziel in that regard, regardless of heisman spiels.

btw, i am not advocating for 'johnny football' at all in regards to whether he is most deserving this year. i am saying, however, that his off the field antics don't rise to the level of ineligibility.

Autocorrect from my phone screws up all my post, so sorry for some of the tough reads haha

THATS THE SCHEDULE STRENGTH NUMBERS. JUST STOP, PLEASE.

exactly.

Strength of Schedule isnt something to go against ND with considering Bama had one of the softest SEC schedules ever.

Rudeboyelvis 11-27-2012 03:09 PM

Per Bovada, Notre Dame would be underdog to five SEC teams

Here are the lines issued by Bovada.lv for each of the top-10 SEC teams, with the assumed "vs. Notre Dame on a neutral field" after each:

Alabama -9.5

Georgia -3

Florida -1.5

LSU -3

Texas A&M -3.5

If they were playing today, I would take Alabama, Stanford, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Ohio St, Oregon, South Carolina, and Texas A&M over them and maybe Florida St. I think Georgia beats them by at least 10 and Bama by at least 17.

I dont think Ohio State is that good. South Carolina has never won a big game in its history. FSU is a questionable IMO

when i was discussing sos, i was thinking along the lines of other teams in the top ten, who played tougher.
not sure why a critique of notre dame is automatically considered a point gained for 'bama.

Probably because you were bitching that nd had a schedule that fell apart and ended up being easy to navigate through, yet u never brought up Bama or Georgia and their schedules or bitched about them not deserving a shot at the national championship.

So now its all bitching. Call me crazy, but i bet if i had an outie and not an innie, you wouldn't put it that way.

You might want to re-read the entire thread for context. And yes, after the fact you know for sure what is what. Its why ala and ga ended up with an easier schedule than lsu and fla for instance.
And i said all along that nd had a fairly easy schedule, you are the one who said all along that it was not.
Do i feel it is correct for bama and ga being 2 nd 3? Yes. And while you peruse the results from the 3 top teams, why don't you take note of margins of victory for those schedules? I have not said ga and bama had it harder than nd...but like i said before bama certainly toyed with their easy rivals, while dame was all out to win by a nostril fairly often.

Why do you pretend to know so much about everything? Then make fake lists and your reassons are... They suck and 1 line BS.

Irish fans should thank me for this season - I think me and my friend were like the only true Irish people at the Aviva stadium when this great season started. They should start every year here :)

I don't care whether you have an outtie, innie, or both honestly. I would have said bitching regardless. I like to debate and argue with you for fun, I have no problem on here with you though.
