to me too, i'm an atheist! but to me its not anywhere near the most important aspect of what makes a good leader.

does Obamas church teach something other than creationism? or any other candidate past or present. how many come out and say I don't believe in creationism?

Obama may lack 'executive experience', but at least he's obviously a bright guy and has laid out plans for when he takes office.

Does it matter that his "plans" rarely come with details or have a prayer of working? Democrat gods mr and mrs Clinton had a plan for healthcare when they were elected back when you were in 2nd grade and we are still waiting on the details of that. They are smart too.

I haven't decided who is the lesser of two evils yet, but it infuriates me to have to vote like that:mad:

I'd say if Obama's administration approached Clinton's, we'd be in pretty decent shape. I'm too tired for this though, tell your old man I said hey.

mr. smooth put his foot in his mouth again today, with a reference to "putting lipstick on a pig". He will deny it had anything to do with Palin, but whatever he says the audience got it and so will everyone else.

For a guy that ran a great primary campaign, he has turned into a walking disaster.

We might get 70% of the registered voters.
That says a hell of a lot. Close to an all-time high
since figures have been accurately taken.

When was the last time 70% showed up at the polls?
We hear the same thing every damn year. Bad choices.
I disagree with the vehemence of a ... of a...
ill-tempered marmot.

you're so wrong, it doesn't matter if its a figure of speech, it has a different context at the moment that anyone can understand, I'm sure you got it.
the only thing it does is take him further off his message, he'll be responding tomorrow all day long in the news cycle to this comment, all his talking heads will be deflecting it in the media. it simply did not look presidential and showed horrible judgement. no one believes me but this is total amatuer hour and he is in freefall and if he is not careful this race could be all over but the shouting way earlier than even I predicted.

you may be right that this issue will take everyone off the topic at hand. my homepage is set up with, among other things, links to ap news. only three links, but guess what one of them was this morning? when i saw your post, i went back to get that link, and read the story.

Interesting all the talk this AM is about the pig comment. Things like this tend to stick - even though he may not have planned it...the perception of what he said will remain with many.

You can't make these gaff's at this point in the process - rookie mistake.

IMO, here is the deal. He was in Lebanon, VA when he made this comment. Residents of this portion of Southwest VA have been talking in this type of lingo for years. When I read about his visit in the local paper this morning, I viewed more as an attempt by Obama to try and connect with the people of the area as opposed to a cheap shot at Palin.
