LOL....Folks......There is no mystery why this man said this.He was trying to be funny. The biggest lie was when he said he didn't know if he thought it was funny. He thought it was funny.Nobody should be stumped about why he said it.

SCUDSBROTHER 04-10-2007 05:49 PM

Normally would say something about this player's massive ear rings, but you go girl.

golfer 04-10-2007 06:35 PM

This will be the last time I even think about this subject, not to mention comment on it, but I just saw Rutgers Coach Stringer at her press conference on ESPN. She was saying something to the effect of we should never let someone else's opinion or words make us feel bad, then went on ranting and raving how Imus' words made her feel bad!! HUH? Imus has been doing this type of "humor" for 20 years (Bad), offensive, distasteful... the point is, only a few people would even know about this awful attempt at humor if it wasn't for the INSANE press coverage since it happened. The whole thing is RIDICULOUS!! and it is a DISTRACTION!

The people who pay the bills for the on air time will have the decision how much it will hurt to keep him. And that ultimately is the advertisers. These people are not dumb. Plenty of little polls and such will be done.

Proctor and Gamble is thinking about pulling out. One big one down possibly. Imus may be gone from certain airwaves.

Pgardn, do you really know how this reads?

Goodness, I'm taking up Caj's habits.

Proctor and Gamble has the big one. Imus, I think some serious shrinkage is probably a kind description at this point.

I found it more than ironic that there was no mention of Martha Burk this year.

If a woman was to qualify for the Masters, she would have the opportunity to make the cut.

Oh my God, we made it a whole 12 pages before the paranoid conservativitis came out. Bababooyee, how could you? You started it and look what you did! (above) ;)

Ah, there's nothing like the righteous anger of the empowered. Please, conservatives convinced they are constantly under attack, post an example of a scandal where, if the offender was in fact, a conservative, his or her conservative leaning became the focus of the media response to the attack. I won't be holding my breath awaiting the response (B, did you ever get back to me on the Israel thing? ;) ).

Imus, I think, can truly be called an independent, since he doesn't hew to either party line. Which leaves him with no one to hide behind. Conservatives feel he betrayed the cause when he came out against the Iraq war and liberals haven't forgiven him for things he said years ago. He's a man without a party. And without a new hairstyle since Reagan was in office.

And the "Daily Show"'s segment on the media orgy over this whole flap was hilarious. Cannon, you would have loved it. Catch it in rerun if you can.

Conservative and proud of it, but not paranoid.

SOMEHOW, CAN'T SEE CANON AS A FAN OF THAT SHOW.I think one of the things that makes it interesting is that IMUS has been so quick to ask that others get fired(for this n' that.) I thought it was pretty unique T.V. to see him lie about whether he thought what he said was funny (at the time he said it.) I think it is interesting to see these women take advantage of a situation that IMUS was dumb enough to create. They see a fat pitch, and they are not gunna get cheated on the swing. Was funny seeing That opportunist Sharpton complain to Imus about him(IMUS) using the term "OLD CRACKER."
