The hill is (from now on) an all button. There simply will be no further effort from me to cap it.Please remind me,if I forget.

I'm not gunna come up with an 8 year old that has never won in 7 times on this turf. This is the day I know to stop capping the hill, and press "all." Just random sht.It is a long meet, and the rest of the races down the hill are gunna be "all" for me,or they won't be played.

16 more years...better get to practicing soon. I think I got 3 years on Tiger...so I would have to make those 3 pretty productive.:D

He use to be an o.k. horse in minor Hwd turf stakes.Never won this turf(obviously never won down the hill.)It is (like I said) random.

just watched the replay...

:21.51 :43.58 1:07.25 1:13.53

nothing overly fast for down the hill there...2nd place finisher maybe softened up a touch by being on the lead...but considering Billy's Echo was widest of them all at the top of the stretch (and for the majority of the race too), he put in a pretty good effort. An effort that doesn't really appear to match up with his current form from the past few races.

Race 8 was better.Atleast that winning horse (in race 8) put in some kind of a run the last time he sprinted. He and the outside horse figured to pick up the pieces if they went way, way, way too fast(and those 2 scholars did just that.)

The 6 1/2 furlong down the hillers are a guessing man's game. I love betting these but only once (Shadow of Illinois) did I ever make a decent score on one. Thats about 1 for 60 to be honest. Anybody who says they can handicap these races are kidding themselves. Nothing but a guess. Like Scuds says, horses that get the least screwed up rides win. Either that or the f'ing chalk.

I considered Billy's Rat a contender but not really for the win. Didnt think there was enough speed to set up the rat's late rally. But he has won before at huge odds.
