The intense glut of P6 races at AQU, CD and HOL start in NY with the 1:52 pm(EST) post of the 4th race, and ends at 7:04 pm (EST) in Inglewood with their 8th. In between, from 2:36 to 5:08 pm, Churchill will offer their half dozen carryover heats that begin with $42,000 set aside from Sunday.

That's 18 races in just over 5 hours, and here's our look at the middle 6 which will also be covered by the "Kentucky Killer" himself, our own Hooves...

Churchill consolation play.

I had such high hopes for today, then they sealed the surface, then off the turf...and a good looking pick 4 turned bad.

Race 7) Fairly weak maiden heat brings Singapore Swing out for his debut. Whitney homer by Fupeg, who gets 15% 2yo debut winners is out of a mare who has tossed seven foals and all have won! Former Zito asst. Abreu won the fourth at $20 (somehow) and this colt worked in bullet company with that one. 'Swing had so-so summer at the spa but opened eyes with two powerful works at Keeneland and unraced 2yo maidens seldom make the clocker tab at that venue.

Will include Angry Pirate in the exotics. He took a bunch of coin in his debut and is a half to AW futurity winner Trail the Fox and Romans deadly with a 2yo that he does NOT work back. Also using Revival Ridge, Evil Empire and Castillo Del Sol. Good cappin. BBB

nice job stevo..the 8 got in the super..

EXCEPT.. That despite making changes, I lazily didn't yank slop-challenged Hautain and Singapore in favor of "Move up mud" candidates above, Angry Pirate and Put Up Or... A $2,500 Super was waiting...

Also didn't adjust P6/P4 tabs in favor of Revival.. Bad, bad, bad. Stops a good run in its' tracks. Pissed.

Increasingly sick feeling with 8 min. to nightcap at CD with Danieltown representing possible 5th of 6.. If failure to adequately alert all to the changes that should have been made with the scratches (subbing 'Revival') stands between us and this 6, I'll be rather downcast... My apologies in advance I guess...

What could you possibly have to apologize for?

Plus, from what I hear, nobody comes here for the selections anyway.

Feel better.. Was 2nd.. Wouldn't have had winner no how... And you're right.. Who'd come here for the handicapping info when they can get 90 day old redboarding upstairs?

Redboarding ages like fine wine...or urine. I'm not exactly sure which.

Steve:

Please, no apologies necessary.
I admire all that you do for us....
The radio show, the daily handicapping which takes much time and the posting of your selections.

Thanks....

Took a pass as well. I thought the thing was hittable before the skies opened up. Too bad they hit it, woulda been nice to have a carryover there.

If Matt-O had not been overly concerned about the conditions and chances of the turf contests coming off, etc., there likely wouldn't have been a carryover anyway.. He had the 6 winners in the selections that he scrapped!!!

LOL!! Thing is Steve that you HAVE to reconsider things when you have surface switches off the grass in two races, and a deep, heavy sloppy track where it became apparent after the first four races that speed was up against it(and it was, 0-10 on todays card, it was one of the deepest heaviest bogs I ever saw).

Some what, some how, agree with Oracle here, and will contribute; if you post/bet/select the winner of a Churchill Downs turf race, prior to the placement of the turf rail; you are essentially betting a football game without knowledge of who's favored and by how much. BBB
