View Full Version : Mountaineer early DD Tuesday night

I think the 6 in the 1st race is live tonight at a nice price. The horse is coming out of a race where the horse that won the 1st race last night is coming out of and this horse ran evenly.I'm not thrilled with the horse but for a small shot it's worth it.In the 2nd race i'll spread with the 3,4 5 6,9/.A small early double 6/3,4,5,6,9.Time to throw the little one in the bath.Later.

The 10 seems to be the lone early speed in the race and is make back to back starts for the first time since last year. I gotta have him on the ticket.

Unf*cking real....your 2 post time favorites run 1-2....8/5 over a 4/1 and the exacta pays $38 for $2???? Totally screwed that up.....wow...how generous.

Stuck at the office finishing a spreadsheet... but just guessing without having looked at PP's since last night, I'm going with a 3,6/3,6,9/6,9,10 tri

If this hits w/o me having an actual bet, I will not be happy

Don't have to bet....just come along for the ride.

Although...after going 0 for 2 in at Mountaineer so far...Da Baron may have to sneak out to the OTB and pick up the PP's for Balmoral.

Sigh...if I wasn't so damn lazy...:o

I used Bodog when I first started betting online but quickly got rid of it... I switched to Pinnacle (like the rebates a lot) but I also have a brisbet account and I like all the extras that come with it - free PP's, live video and race replays... and the $100 they gave me when I signed up was pretty good too. If you get a Brisbet account, get someone's referral number so they can get a sign-a-friend bonus...

You got to love a place where you bet $8 in pick 3's and the favorite wins the 1st leg,the second choice wins the middle leg and the lone speed wins the finale being the 2nd choice and you get back $115.Well i'm going to step up in the late double since we'll be awat till Sunday night and i won't play till Monday. The play for me $10 late doubles 1,5,8/4,8.Let me come home from D.C. with a little bankroll for Monday.Good luck.

The #5 went of 9/5 last time he ran prior odds were 39/1, 48/1, and 17/1
and getting beat by many lengths. That must of been a stellar field he
ran against

8 seems obvious here... so perhaps he's not. I like a trainer with positive stats so the 4 looks interesting... 5 looks pretty obvious based on his last race but maybe he just liked the slop... the 3 looks probable but???

I think I'll go with 8/3,4,5 and 8 WP

The #8 should be the speed of the speed horses, Your right the trainer
has impressive stats

Close Kev... I was cheering for Ozzie at the end... Huber went 4 wide around that last turn and I knew I was done for the night...

Bet $66 tonight... won $62... down $4... cheaper than renting a movie :D

See you next time, At The MOUNTAIN!

when was the last time a Mountaineer selections thread went over 125 posts? This was a fun night - we have got to do this kind of thing more often... but maybe next time Mark will stick around a little longer and help us cap the mountain right ;)

See you later, Will be looking a the PP's for Woodbine and Delta tomorrow
later tonight, the polytrack at Woodbine has produced some great payouts.
Hopefully I can make to OTB tomorrow for some Woodbine wagering. Time to
take man's best friend for a late night stroll

I have got to buy Steve a beer the day I finally meet him... I never understood peoples obsessions with "message boards" but this place is awesome... I got hooked on this stuff at Bay Meadows when I lived in the Bay Area - I loved that track and the people that worked there - but with no track nearby now, this place is just as good, if not better. Here I don't have to deal with the old guys that wash their clothes once a week, or the guy that shuffles along looking on the ground for dropped winning tickets, or the obnoxious guy yelling at the TV trying to get the horse that's racing halfway across the country to get up another 10 lengths on the stretch - here I just have to deal with the repetitive posts about polytrack and which horse is the "second coming" or "latest flop"... and in between it all, I'm given winners that pay any where from $2.80 to $50+... oh yes, life is good at Derby Trails.

p.s. the Pinot was really good tonight... hic!

p.p.s. Steve - I really need a Derby Trails hat... where do I send the check?

Derby Cat totally agree with you on DT, That sucks you have no local
track to go to. Are they ever going to open up Playfair again? I guess
Emerald is a pretty long hall for you. It's one of my favorite race meets.
Living here in eastern Pa. I have 6 tracks to drive to that would take me
30 mins to 2 hours to get to. If I go to a track 8 out of 10 times it's
to Delaware Park. The have one of the nicest paddocks in the country and
they have pretty good racing and good grub.

Damn, I went to the OTB and played Mountaineer tonight ... never dreamed we would have this much going on here regarding the Mountain .... I usually just check in on Mermaid's plays and then go about my business ... looks like you all put up some nice winners, I did catch the trifecta in the 10th to end on a high note ... keep it up.
