Real Quiet

Saratoga provided some good racing on Saturday and the ROI contest in its own right added a
spirited competition as well. Three players cashed four winning tickets and that meant the first
three spots were filled. Real Quiet takes the number two spot with a Grand Slam wager
featuring Good Samaritan and a $226 return. It doesn't happen often especially when players
take different routes to the winners circle but Saturday featured a dead heat in the ROI.
Plenilune and NJ Stinks share the win as they both hit the wire together with nothing
separating them. Plenilune hit both of her win wagers and collected $240 for her astute
handicapping. NJ Stinks also collected $240 with an exacta box in race 4. Congrats to
Plenilune and NJS on their ROI wins. Nicely played by both. Following are the unofficial
results pending any objections. See you all next week wherever Joly B ships us.

Almost dropped my Kentucky Derby glass when I saw these results! :D

(FYI, my exacta box should have been flipped by the stewards. The winner came out a lot and herded the horse who finished 2nd. Not even an objection by the jockey (Jose Ortiz) against the winner (ridden by J.R. Velazquez) let alone an inquiry. Not that Todd Pletcher is allowed to be taken down, of course!

Another tidbit is that chart caller amended his original narrative from "herded that foe..." to "herded that foe at most a path..." ). I better shut up before the place horse is taken down for obstructing the winner's path! ;) )

Nice job to all the money makers at a track where a dime is hard to come by . . . "Hey buddy can'ya spare a dime"!!! For me I'll just keep throwing my c-note around until lightning strikes me a few time each year. I may start a whole new tactic, then go back to my basics and then . . . ohhhhh who the heal give a crap-e-olah . . . I kinda do :o:$:
