Don't know where else to post this, so it goes here.
I just had Windows inflict one of their kamikaze updates. I was lucky I was up at 3 AM taking meds when it did. As soon as that marathon was over, 3 different antivirus programs (distrustful sort, ain't I?) went bananas. 5, that's right, 5, for God's sake, viruses came in straight from Windows update. By the time I went through the ordeal of letting all 3 programs (and it took all three by the time everything was cleared up) chew and spit out whatever they were, it was 5:30. Then I was blessed with driver updates for a half hour.
I trust nobody.
Oh, and if you see something called superfish in your list of installed programs, that's a sneaky little creep, too. I think it comes in with Yahoo, which just tried to force me to use that as my homepage. Then Comodo has the only way to get rid of that. Supposedly. I think Comodo and Yahoo were in cahoots sending it out to start with.
I'm mean. I use firefox, and that has a cute little add on that does not let that wander in from nowhere it will admit to.

Add another 2 that AVD carefully dug out of the miasma of crap that tried to sneak in yesterday. Seek and ye shall find.

I downloaded the update this morning with no problems.

I didn't have them before the update, and I had just done a scan the night before.
