The carryover at Belmont swelled to more than $160,000 Wednesday when Jimmy Ferraro's Salt and Pepper spiced up the P6 stew at $77. The sextet Thursday is torturous with five turf events no less than four maiden events (2 claiming, 2 specials), with one of each featured for state breds. A third carry would not be a surprise given the full fields...

The weekend kicks off Friday night with big stakes at Hoosier (Oaks) and Meadowlands (Pegasus) as well as the opening of Keeneland's fall meet. That card features a quality edition of the 1.5 mile Sycamore (Gr. III), and an incredible gathering of juvy fillies in the Gr. II Alcibiades. Saturday is Gold Cup Day at Belmont with 5 Gr. I stakes lined up, and Hoosier's biggest 48 hours caps the day with the $500,000 Indiana Derby. Full coverage of the weekend starts tonight on "At the Races and Beyond" (SIRIUS 125, 4-7pm EST) and on Derby Trail.com...

Wish we had had the chance to re-check the scratches here.. This horse of Gary's is in fabulous form and was absolutely usable with this group. Wow...

Get knocked out of the "6", but it's OK because it's C-Ack-Ah!!

You can't stop him.. you can only hope to contrain him.. 3rd win of the meet, and Grosvenor Square wins tomorrow for racing's Round Mound of Sound...!

I am too. The payout for 5 has me scratching my head.

Should be an exciting day tomorrow. I'm in.

Your red selections were excellent Mr. Byk. If you played those all to win, you had a nice day.

If you play that pick 6 tommorow you have more guts than me. I studied it tonight but by my math it would take at very least a 500+ ticket to even have a small puncher's chance. Too tough a card for me.

Good luck.

I scored with last time out and overlooked him today...bad bad move for me!
Usually, I stay with a horse when he wins @ a price, but totally left him out
and he gets up in time again!:(
