Stewards' call in 8th contributed mightily towards double carryover for Thursday as Merry Meadow was punitively separated from the win after a slight squeeze of heavily favored Ultimate Shopper in deep stretch. The marginally understandable -- but unnecessary -- call elevated the least deserving My Place into the win, in the kind of situation that annoys more players than it placates. C/O of nearly $73k results.

Bat Masterson's Dulcedumbre shows up here off breakthrough maiden win at LRL traveling the same one turn mile. Savvy Goldberg had choices with this Candy Ride miss and obviously is shooting for the big purse. Drops weight off the diploma to boot..
