I'm contemplating a brief visit to Santa Anita early in the new year to see a horse we have in training there (he may or may not run during this time).

I've been to SA before, but I stayed in LA and I'd prefer to stay closer to the track this time, but also not too far away for the main points of interest.

Would you recommend staying in the Pasedena/Arcadia area, or would it be better to stay in Hollywood/Burbank/Unviersal Studios area?

Any thoughts and recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I've stayed in Pasadena which is close. Nice area, nice hotels and very convenient.

I just stayed in Hermosa, not really close to SA but you avoid LA traffic by going around downtown from there, only took about 35mins. In the immediate area of SA I have no idea, though there isn't a lot going on right there.

Well I'm sure that helped a lot.

When will someone from Nova Scotia lend a hand here?

Maybe Mrs. Wiggins has an idea.

Someone who gets bonked on the head and 45 seconds later says,"OW!!" shouldn't find this question all that hard.

Marriott Residence Inn in Arcadia. There is a BJ's brewery near by and several other good resturants.

Hey Dixie I was gonna say send my fondest regards to the birdies on the 11th floor ledge ;) but if you're out here right now it'll have to wait.

Happy New Year.

I'm in the Polo every morning for breakfast. You won't have any trouble finding me @ the gin game in front of my cabana.
