Unless #5 COST OF FREEDOM bounces back and handles the turf, this will be the softest group that #3 CALIFORNIA FLAG has faced in two years. In his last three races California Flag has faced world class turf sprinters, and large fields of 14,14 and 16. He won this race last year off of a layoff, and he should be primed to do that again today. He is clearly the class of this group and is strictly the horse to beat. #8 STONESIDE will benefit the most if the two mentioned above hook up in an early speed duel. Stoneside is a consistent type finishing on the board in six straight races. If the pace collapses he could break through with a win today. #6 MY SUMMER SLEW does not appear to be good enough to compete with the top two, but if you dig a little deeper you will notice that he has won his last three races when sprinting on the turf.

Stoneside hasn't won a race in 28 months. Good luck.

Koriner doesn't sound all that optimistic. In DRF he says, “He’s probably not as sharp as he was last year at this time."

That doesn't exactly sound like a glowing endorsement.

I picked him second.
Stoneside is consistent, Canani is 25%... The jockey change is huge also.
There is a ton of speed in here, a ton of speed. The 3,5,7 NEED THE LEAD, the 2,6 like be up and on the pace. If this field stays together I would be suprised if Stoneside does not fire big.

I would be pretty suprised if he does not run 1-2.

I'm hoping My Summer Slew is an overlay.
