...and even had to exclude some horses from running in the Oceanside. Not looking good right now unless you own a horse running in one of those short fields.

There will be uber speed in this race!
I like Domonation, if he can handle turf.

My money will be on Hockley... Flores up :tro:
(the past 6 winners exited a race at a mile or longer)
Plus grew up not far from Katy-Hockley :D

Yes, but this is still the best turf race in months out there.

If you want a price alternative, an intriguing horse here is Killer Bear. Granted his best work has come versus Cal-breds, but he's 20-1, possible to float higher, and seems to have exactly what's needed in a field well stocked with pace setters and pressers. Horses that succeed at 7-7.5f are generally dangerous in settings like this. One of three signed on that has faced elders, and worth a flyer at jumbo tote.

I think last year was the first time in 20 years that it wasn't split.

Yea, though I had thought it happened once or twice about a decade ago......I am getting old.

I like Gallant Gent in here, statswise he looks poor dam is 0 for 6 for turfers and he is trained by low % Lewis, but I think he should be some value in a wide open race.

Twirling candy may end up the best of this years class.
