Travers Weekend started with a very solid day of plays with several chalky exactas turning over the 'hamiltons' and a pair of nice trifectas bringing in the 'benjamins'. The 4th race triple brought back a hefty $327.50 ($1) and the nightcap tri $89.25 to hopefully send you into Saturday's 12 event docket healthy.

The talk of the day was Discreet Cat's incredible return performance where the Godolphin UAE Derby winner was jaw-droppingly impressive. If he's able to stay healthy, Discreet Cat should add a very exciting element to the fall lead-up to Breeders' Cup...

A lot to cover with today's dozen races.. It's 3:30am here in the Saratoga area, and it looks like there will be no raining on the big parade...

I appreciate trying to go for a bit of a price in the Travers, but how in the world do you leave Bernardini of your pick 4 play? I would say you at least spread to include him. Maybe a $48 play may be more of a safer bet.

That was a typo of course.. Girlfriend's friend noticed it around 12:30 today at the track. As it turned out, the top 4 tabs in the sequence were the winners.. Typhoon, Ashkal, Henny, Bernardini... The payoff was so bad that basically anything above a $24 play lost money... But a great day at the Spa anyway. Just home now. Will pass out in about 8 minutes...

Hope everyone had a super afternoon!

Hey Steve,
It was great to meet you and see the setup of the Carolina BBQ!
Food was fantastic!
Thank you for your hospitality and all of the great work you do.
Rick from Boston...
by the way, I put the key in the ignition of my car at 6:57 p.m. and put my head on the pillow @ 10:57 p.m....funny thing is I don't remember driving home...between handicapping all day and being distracted by lovely women,my brain is cooked!

Zaf/Rick..

Thanks so much. It was great meeting you.. Appreciate everyone who has come by these past five weeks..

It's been a fun, if grueling, meet, but the highlight has been the dozens of Derby Trailers and ATRAB listeners who have visited. I'm totally amazed by how many people have introduced themselves and the nice things they have to say about the show and DT... It's meant a lot to me.

A week to go, and life returns to "normal"... Thx again.
