I'm excited to see Pica Slew run again. She might be a nice filly.

Pica has an odd way of going but seems to do it effortlessly

Yup - keeps her head very low. Yesterday's race was kind of a non-effort. I hope they run her somewhere tougher soon so we get to see how good she really is. I'd love for her to go in the Test. . . Maybe she'd be a price too.

yes, I will bet wherever they go next so the harder the better price

I would like to see her there, too, but I'm thinking we'll see her again on Summit of Speed Day (July 15).

Maybe the Victory Ride then. . . I interviewed her trainer after the maiden breaker and he didn't seem particularly anxious to throw her back in the deep end considering where they debuted her, so it's probably wishful thinking to think they'll ship her to NY any time soon.

Mike Welsch was on with me last bnight and had spoken at length with Calascibetta earlier in the day. The Test is a distinct possibility now. Look for the follow up from Welsch in DRF the next day or so. He says Joe is VERY excited now since the owners aren't going to be selling unless something ridiculous gets offered to them.

I have a feeling they just might get that ridiculous offer

Ordinarily I would hope a filly of limited ability like this one stays where she is and runs where she can. But after reading these comments I would like to see her snapped up and see what Dutrow can do with her ASAP.

Oy vey... Utterly ridiculous comment. Limited ability? Have you even seen her run? How would you even remotely know how much ability she has? She ran a 91 Beyer Saturday in a common gallop. Never asked for run. She's staying with Calascibetta unless the already wealthy breeder/owner gets a completely stupid Darley-ish offer. In terms of ability, Mike Welsch sees her regularly in the morning and believes she has unlimited upside. I'll go with his view of her ability.

I'm pretty sure I've seen her every race. So you go for it. I'll go with MY view of her ability; she will NEVER beat Joanie's Catch.
