we should have a contest of 13 grade one stakes races throughout the summer, all dirt, from 6-17,
starting with the stephen foster, and ending when toga ends.

a schedule something like this.

$120 a race,
5 grade one dirt route races for older horses.
3 grade one route races for 3 year olds
5 grade one sprints of 6 of 7f only.(some 3yo some older)

limited to the first 20 entrants,
because i don't want to spend days adding up the scores each week.

the winner gets to be called number one capper for the rest of the year.

i am the first in, so do we have 19 others ?

or is someone else volunteers to keep score make the field more open.

So, a fictional $120, anyway we want to bet it I assume. Can some body tell me an easy way to find these races and put them in an excel doc to keep track of them? I don't really follow all the tracks, but I'll do it for kicks and giggles.

it will be all weekend graded stakes, hopefully the drf race of the week so the data for the most part will be free.
whortesman will keep track of the winnings.

you get to call yourself the best grade1 capper on the board, and use the contest results as evidence. i imagine those with "paper" wins will be too shy to actually register for a contesat scored by someone other than those who run it, for fear of the results they make public. some just won't have the stones. there are 2 i am thinking of right now.

Okay mr. anxious will start saturday with the belmont, which means will have to add a 15th race, so the odds of a tie are lower (odd number)

where you can post your picks.

there will be a separate summary thread that posts the totals each week until it accumulates all the weeks totals.

Hey, what about the Summit of Speed at Calder on 7/15. Princess Rooney is a Grade I. Also two Grade II races that day. (LITF is probable for one of them).

But here is my bet:

$5 exacta box ($60):

4, 6, 9, 11 (Bob and John, Oh So Awesome, Bluegrass Cat and Steppenwolfer.)

$30 to win on the 6 (Oh So Awesome) and $30 to place on the 11 (Steppenwolfer.)

Total Wager = $120

Good racing luck...
