Once a Brass Hat fan, always a Brass Hat fan.

Not playing, rooting only. Hope he does well.

Brass Hat has been training LIGHTS OUT.....I'll be rooting as well as throwing a couple dollars on him. Old timer still has a little left in him.

I can only guess that the Sir Shackleton is named for the explorer and not the horse.

Was he supposed to rally into that sharp :52.3 half, 1:18.2 6f and 1:45.0 mile? While wide? Off a 7 month layoff? He was beaten 6 lengths... Buff told me he cooled out great, definitely needed the race and will be back for another summer of competitive tries.

Love him...have followed him since his bomb maiden win years back. I bet him pretty hard today & knew it was over when I saw that 52...and definitely when I saw the 1:18 :(

I see Sam P. is in again after failing to show anything in his last 3...

And?

Just looking to see what their reasons are for keeping him racing when they were under a contract to not do so. Must be flashes of brilliance in the mornings.

The Bradleys don't own Sam P. of course, so it's not their call to stop on him. Buff says he's sound and acts great.

It is a curious situation.

In this article, Buff says that they might stop on him if he doesn't run well in an allowance race. He's since run twice and entered again today. Hopefully either their faith that the horse is ok is rewarded or they do decide that it's time to wrap it up.

I did a double-take as well. Like her chances today Tom? I'm thinking 4/1-9/2 area, correct?

With the slow fractions of the race and being at Gulfstream Park (which seems to play more to front-runners on the turf), BH was up against it.
