"Heavy".. as in heavy going.

it was on a foreign course, i have never seen the notation before. yes i was serious.

i here what your saying, it sounds like a reading for damp turf., i thouhgt it meant hilly having never seen the notation before, knowing how some of the courses in europe go up inclines that can be steep.

Paul thats exactly what it means. Heavy going refers to a very deep and soggy grass course.
