Lost Aptitude's last two figures (93) not only tower over this field - but they also rate favorably with a very good group of horses who've won this race over the decade.
Only Barbaro's 97 and Lord Robyn's 95 (when he got loose early and sprinted off to an almost 5 length win) are faster.
I'd like to see him and Interactif hook up.

Interactif had his first work today since the BC. Perhaps they will meet in the Hallendale or Palm Beach....there certainly are not many options for a top class 3 year old turf horse until the summer.

Hmm I guess they didn't enter Lentenor after all. Mr. Jackson said he might be going there but he wasn't sure and told Bloodhorse to ask Matz who wasn't available at the time. He supposedly is ready to go, it's just a question of how soon they can find something.

Shouldn't Letenor bother winning a maiden race first before throwing him to Lost Aptitude?
Ive seen lost ap twice at Cd and really came away with the thought that this horse can really run. he 125-1 at wynn right now and im thinking aobut gegtting on him for KD136. you guys know a lot more about this then i do would you pull the trigger? i also like dryfly he is at 100-1 just watching the cruising speed that LA has really makes me think he can get the mile and a quarter. i think his breeding is ok as his daddy was 2nd in the fupeg derby. Any words of advice??? LA runs Sat and if he crushes that field and does it in style i feel his odds will plummet. I have to think that Romans will try the dirt ala Barbaro in the fountain of youth then fla derby. i know he has only run on turf but think he could go dirt. thoughts??

Eh, doesn't seem Matz is as worried about Lentenor's ability as he is the greenness. I got the impression they thought well of his talent. Matz said Lentenor made some green mistakes that they'll take care of in the future. If they figured trying Lost Aptitude might not be the best way to find out if the light bulb's come on yet, I can hardly blame them.
Does anyone know the nominations list? I heard there were 28 up and only 12 spots, but I never heard if Lentenor even got nominated. Word is he's ready to go and soon. Did a 48 and change breeze which I understood isn't typical for Matz.

He runs well here and they are going to try the FOY.

I think he will get a shot on dirt to prove himself.
with the announcement by Roman what do you guys think? If LA rolls in the race are his odds future odds going to plummet? i want to pull the trigger so bad on this one and no i have never won a future bet and i know they are sucker bets but the temptation is strong. Thoughts please???

Fly by Phil got a 90 Beyer for the Tropical win. Had Kathleen O'Connell on yesterday and also talked to her off the air for a while, and this may be a pretty nice horse. He relaxed really nicely on the backstretch for Nunez and O'Connell says he'll run all day and is sturdy as can be. She's thinking Sam Davis with him.
