I sure as hell didn't see it. Nine chances and a career-high 40 Beyer. I figured one of the firsters or droppers or equipment changers would be better than that, but that's not necessarily a fair assumption with NY-breds.

I had him on the main play early on, and then ultimately relegated him to backups.. Terrible bunch o' coconuts...

Of course it is. The contests never should have been made for less than $2K.

I agree.. that would have left me $1280 for beer!

The original point of these contests, that was unfortunately lost, was to show people just how hard it is to hit Pick-6s, and lead people in the right direction of how to construct plays that even have a chance to win.

It's about ticket construction, more than opinions, and there is no room for that for $800.

That's my fault and we'll revert to the $2,000 budget for future exercises..

That was an oddly run race. What exactly, do you think, were Norberto Arroyo's instructions?

I just made a huge bet on Lady Elaine in the 9th race. That may have been the worst decision by a rider I have seen in my entire life.

"Noberto we'll all be here again tomorrow and Ramon has had a bitch of a day losing on 3 horses less than even money. Why don't you lay back and make your run when second is the best you can do....."

It made no sense. I bet Dominguez on the 9 was as surprised as we were. I almost don't believe someone can be that clueless.

It's a perfect example of why Dominguez wins.....he wins because he's smart and many aren't. There is zero question the 2 would have won the race if Fragoso stayed inside. Zero. What rider would swing out like that? Hell, he got her into the four path on the backstretch. Who would do something like that? It was mind boggling.
