Okay with the holiday perhaps we can put the time to good use with our own efforts on this one......Let's get the banter started!!

Race 5 Turf Mile 62.5 Alw NW2 (ladies first)

#5 Siamese Cat Rock of Gibraltar turf monster (Hooves special)

Is this a single or do you have to throw in #11 Silver Moonshine whom Carla Gaines has firing fairly well.

Other thoughts in the 5th??

Still looking at the race. The 5 is a definite include but I am not all that interested in Carla's horse. Lots of other speed here and her last race she cut pretty modest fractions to wire them. I don't think she gets away with that and may not be able to get over and will be wide the first turn. In fact the 10 is the speed of the speed if Bejarano sends her.

Probably will include the 10 and maybe the 4 Gula Gold who should be running late if there is a pace melt down. Hollendorfer at 15-1 is always tempting. I will wait to see the jockey on the 4 tomorrow. The horse is much more interesting to me if Rosario is on board then if a Marin Garcia or TVG Puglisi has to pick up the mount. Still not sure what to do with the 1 horse. The 3 is also in the mix but I am not planning on playing a 4k ticket so I will see how deep I end up going after looking at all the races.

I think it is pretty hard to eliminate Gaines horse with that kind of early turn of foot when it has been successful previously the last 2 times out..

While Silver Moonshine is in form right now, she's gotten away with murder in both of her recent wire to wire wins. I'll be amazed if she gets clear so easily in here and is able to set such a slow half-mile. There is speed inside of her and this is an awfully deep N2X.

The favorite is logical, Gula is a very live longshot IMO and the rail horse should be able to come back full of fire.

I would be shocked if you see 48 3/5 and 112 4/5 tomorrow in a 2nd level optional claiming race at only a mile. The 11 could win but will have to go much faster to wire this field.

To me that last race was more like a grind it out win than an explosion.I guess everybody thinks Gomez is gunna make her run like 5 lengths better, but I could see her running a 2nd.

Someone help me out on the feature race. I think Black Mamba is a standout but I am not sure I am looking at it objectively because I mistakenly keep betting this horse against the Citronades and Nashoba's Keys of the world and keep getting burned. I don't like Trick's Pic at all and don't think the G3 she won was all that strong. The barn change and layoff of Kris' Sis has me thinking of passing on her. The only other one I even kind of like is Costume.

My take, I don't like Costume at all, she also 'bore in' last time, which according to some, is a sign of unhealthyness. I agree with you about Black Mamba

I think on tickets under 1k, she is a great single, but if you are going into this with droppin 5k in mind, you can use other horses, such as Alexandra Rose, Kris' Sis and maybe a little Live Life

I have always tended to overthink these as this bottom claimer race brings together the "logical" #1 NORWAY HOUSE" and the trainer angles like #5 THE RYE MAN where Periban's ROI's on claimer's is $3.29 and synthetic is $2.69 which makes Gerry Olguin a little easier to take.

The last two I am gonna throw in here is the late closer #3 Manhattan Express which if this mess is taken by a late runner might fit the bill and #7 Si Chimi whom Talamo rode competitively not too far back.

Hoping for a scratch as I don't really want to burn up 4 choices here!!

7 and 10 might go with her and there is absolutely no way that Cedeno is going to win two races in a row, let alone two races in a day. The planets only align like that once every about 150,114 years. I like him alot more in the race before then there.

Plus, you have to think that a firster might get involved somewhere in there at the start.

Your probably right Scavs I just needed to go through the possibilities and see if there is any strong feeling among you for my "B" and "C" types....

If there was a little more time since the last #3 CLASSY ATTRACTIONwould be a single for me here. Who knows I go back and forth about singling here....if not then...

With only 8 days rest I will be backing up with outside late runners #12 True Suggestion and #10 Colony Trick
The former is very close to breaking through and the latter has a nice 2nd off layoff ROI 4.24 that I can see comming late wide which hasn't been a bad thought at 6.5F.

The last must use for me is Peter Miller's Harlan Holiday offspring #11 Devils Martini. P Miller is dangerous in spots such as these. It is costly but I'll include him here with Flores.

At least it's not a damn turf sprint.....

I am intrigued by #1 Kris Sis and the trainer switch to Baltas who is making a name for early trainer synthetic moves. Kris has trained well and wasn't far from Mamba' last time.

#6 Tric's Pic and #7 Black Mamba are the obvious ones though not by so much that the race is a two horse race.# 5 Alexander Rose looked sharp winning a downhill but I am not impressed with her mile efforts #8 Live Life is going to try and steal this as only speed and may be worth including. I refuse to watch Costume burn more of my money as I don't believe he has the heart to challenge these for the win.

I don't like the 5, not a fan of that Mandella, and I agree with you about the 5, he would be my fourth horse in the race.

I like Drysdale with that type of horse situation, and Raffie aboard is a big deal to me there, and Cecil is no joke off the layoff.

I get the feeling that Valdivia is going to get hot soon. He is too good of a rider to not get hot again, like he was when he was riding every winner Ellis was sending out about 6 months ago......

This one seems to have 6-8 potential possibilities however I am going to stay with two fundamentals of MSW races. 1) Don't ask a horse to do something in a competitive route race if the horse hasn't previously excelled at going two turns.

Thus....

#2 Tiz now and then and hopefully tomorrow. Nice pair up asking for a forward move
#3 Medjool Didn't embarass self in Yankee Bravo's coming out party and may find these easier to handle
#12 Pearl Fisher Strong 2nd off layoff ROI $9.09 after nice effort last time

A strong case can be made for #6 Street Royale but on less than 3 weeks rest may not be enough.

I reserve the right to throw in 1 firster who who would be #11 Thrust
who has 1) Gomez 2) Drysdale as a 1ster 3) AP Indy and 4) a very impressive work pattern topped off by 7F bullet a week ago.

You're right about this one being a skullbuster. I think Street Royale is a toss because he finished 7th and was only 1 1/2 lengths behind the winner. Only one horse came back to run (6th Cloudbreaker) and he ran 7th losing by 8 1/2 as the lukewarm 3to1 favorite in a Calbred MSW race on 2/11.

Off first glance and I will study the race in more detail in the morning I like 2 Tiz Now and Then.

You might want to check out the replay of the 3's stretch run. Note how she changes back to LEFT lead around mid stretch. The headon shows that the 2nd horse came out into her, forcing her out and causing her to get thrown off stride and lose momentum. Solis had to then get her going again. She's at least 2nd with a clear run. A decent effort off a LONG layoff. She can only improve.

If you survived this far the last is imposing as well with a full field

My first choice is off the AE which I am hoping draws in #13 Britney Heat who is lightly raced who is coming back to a turf mile where she has been successful 3X previously and looks like a nice fit here.

Oneill/Bejarano have the #9 TrickaCat who has won above this level and is second off a layoff where she has performed prior favorably

Michael Baze was very close with #2 Royal Pana the last time and with a very solid work pattern could seal the deal.

If the 13 doesn't draw in the #4 Roanaway Bride and #7 Formal Rush are playable

Good Luck DT's...

I like trick a cat as well. It appears a stalker will inherit the win...

Bejarano must not be all that crazy about her...Right?

Gomez aint shabby....also, Costume was gonna run in an Allow race that got rained out, so Raffy may have already committed to ride A Rose. Blck Momba and Costume are the standouts to me.

Together, they are 3 wins in 25 starts. I think Costume should of run better last time(if she is gunna win today.)I 'll make it MAMBA,ROSE,T PICK,COSTUME. In that order, but I just can't trust this lil bitch Tyler.

I think you can trust her today, Mamba was 2 lengths from Citronade and 1 length from both Precious Kitten and Nashoba's Key, all three of those horses beat this field by 5 lengths, at least.....

Watch what you say..luner eclipes tonight!

I have it 3, 7, 10 and really like the 3 at a price. If 10 - Delmarva is her old self should be potent.

You notice how Scuds scurried away because I asked him to explain his insaneness with #4 Gula Gold? He must have been smokin his Rosario peace pipe

Great pick Scuds, I am brutal

When have you ever seen Solis ride for Fanning first out?

Solis has been winning lately, maybe took a Viagra or something

$47 on this first time starter, not bad!

I really dislike this individual.I couldn't hit the last 2 .So,it really makes no difference, but this is a totally unreliable piece of bitch waste. That was true before today, and he confirmed it once again.
