This is a selection.I'm sure it will get moved to esoteric or whateva.Tonite is the final night of the Westminster Dog Show. There are a few groups left to judge(bunch of breeds judged together as one.) After that, they will put the winners of all the groups together, and select the best of show.Anyways, the only group I know much about is the TOY GROUP(because my favorite dog =MIN PIN is the King of the Toys.)Of course, the Min Pin has no shot(too good looking a breed.)Just like male singers get the hate if they are too pretty. This lady judging tonite is highly subjective. She has bred Japanese Chins for a long time. When she judges, she usually picks that breed top 3.She has already given this Chin(that she will be judging tonite) a 1st and a 2nd place in shows in the last year. Her favorite breed to give 1st place to(in her judging career) is the long haired Chihuahah. These are the 2 breeds with big chances to upset. Now,there are 3 rock stars in this competition. These are the 3 dogs that take best of TOY GROUP a lot. They are the Affenpinscher, the Pug,and the toy poodle.I've never seen her pick a toy poodle for 1st place. She rarely picks a Pug 1st,but it's happened a couple times. She likes Affenpinschers. She has selected this ROCK STAR Affenpinscher for 1st in a show in the last year. So,I will say it goes like this:

1st)AFFENPINSCHER,LONG COAT CHIHUAHAH,or Japanese Chin
2nd)AFFENPINSCHER,LONG COAT CHIHUAHAH, Japanese Chin,or PUG
3rd)AFFENPINSCHER,LONG COAT CHIHUAHAH, Japanese Chin,PUG,or Toy Poodle

SCUDS' best guess is she will take the Affenpinscher as the Toy Group Winner. It's the best option for her, because he is a very successful dog,and from a breed she likes.

Dogs with zero shot with this lady(to win the toy group:)

MIN PIN(same buffed gangsta boy that barked at the crowd last year:rolleyes: )

POMERANIANS-she doesn't seem to pick them.

YORKSHIRE TERRIER-she doesn't seem to pick them.

TOY FOX TERRIER-UN UH-she doesn't seem to pick them.

SILKY TERRIER-COULD COME 2ND-4TH

SHI- TZU-Could come 2nd-4th

PAPILLION-Could come 2nd-4th

MANCHESTER TERRIER-This is what they call butt-ugly MIN PINS.

The rest all have longshot chances(especially the Havanese,Chinese Crested, and the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.)

Got a 4th in '92,and a 2nd in '90(in a horrible drought, and this lady doesn't pick them to come 1st.......sometimes 2nd-4th.) Got best in TOY GROUP in '75,and '68.I'd put the chances at 50,000 to 1(of her picking this buffed gangsta MIN PIN tonite.) You know what, though. He doesn't care.He can't wait to get home and play with his buddies.Maybe that's why they almost never get the love(cuz they don't give a **** if they win.)

They taped the black n' tans in the 2nd half of the video. The reds are on there in the beginning.I thought it was odd to do that.1st black n' tan at 5:08...LOL.

So far,the 2 judges have played it very safe. The Weimeraner (how ever ya spell it) has 23 best of shows.Kind of scares a judge into making it best of group.Same with TOY GROUP.She hasn't picked miniature poodles much, but this is the #1 dog in the nation(show-wise) right now.I'm just surprised she didn't pick her own breed( J CHIN) top 4,but when everyone is watching, you better be able to justify everything. She has picked Havanese breed a lot,and same FOR B Griffon.I knew which ones she wouldn't pick top 4 though. She ignores the breeds I listed as "no shot." Honestly,I don't think she hardly looked at some of the breeds. She couldn't have gotten the MIN PIN to off n' running any quicker.Barely on the table.Typical lil MIN PIN pig stopped to get some leftover food.

Beagles rule!
Had one when I was a kid that lived until he was 17. My beagle, Kasi that I have now is 14.
One of the most kindness, loyal dogs there are.

SU,

I thought he stood out as well. Amazing that that is the breed's first win considering their popularity through the 60's-70's. Seemed like everyone I grew up with had a poodle, spaniel or beagle.

Was rooting for the Akita but neither he or the weim were "on" last night. Glad the beagle won. His conformation is fantastic, moves great, and was really "showing" last night. Westminster tends to be political but you couldn't deny the beagle last night.

Thank God one of those poodles didn't win!
