More I looked ay pick4, tougher it seemed. I see my chances of cashing a multiple $ ticket as very slim. Gonna watch the early part of the card and maybe that will help me trim things down. Probably end up with a $1AB and a few $1 Covers. SCRATCHES CHANGE THINGS QUITE A BIT...MY GRADES LOOK WIERD, BUT IT'S WHERE I'M AT FROM A STRUCTURE STANDPOINT...MAY PASS ALL TOGETHER

POST SCRATCHES:

Kinda like Gold and Blue Box in today's 5th, jockey switch & stretching out...showed interest up the rail late last Saturday sprinting at this level.

This is what I'm leaning towards so far. Hopefully there are some scratches that clear it up. Something tells me that we'll be back to a merry-go-round track today. Obviously, we'll have to watch the early races.

I tend to agree with you but it wouldn't be the first time I bet on one! Sometimes they even come through, I've actually even seen you wearing a Dunce Cap a time or two.

Can some one explain to me why NY prohibits coupled entries from running in Superfecta races?

I was almost getting desperate to wear it last summer, so I started taking more and more chances as the meet wore on, and of course when I finally earned the right some annoying horse got an absolutely dream trip to photo my two horses and cost me a fortune. So there I am, getting buried in general, taking an annoying beat, and having every Tom, Dick and Harry breaking my balls around the racetrack and town for the rest of the day and night.

But....It's a tradition like none other. So if you're willing to take one for the team, it's all in good fun in the end.

It's absolutely all in good fun.....and if I never wear it then it loses its appeal.

Good luck to everyone today. Right now, in rural upstate, NY it's 44 degrees, so it's got to be much warmer down in Aqueduct. Great hit yesterday Hooves on the SA play you made. That's awesome. Going to change strategy a little today and make some pick-3 plays. Made a little over 1,200 two years ago on Super Bowl Sunday, so hopefully I can get the Karma going today. Later

Sounds like everyone had a great time at your expense, sorry I missed it. So if Ty's Ridge is your Dunce cap horse who are the legitimate contenders, other than the favorite?

I know you don't like sharing your opinions before the race (which i respect) so I'll understand if there is a long delay before you reply.

Good Luck Pat!

I think I'm going to play the following tickets:

Pick 4:
9,10 / 2,9 / 1,5 / 2,3,7,8 = $32 3 of 4 Barn Skpa
2,9,10,12 / 2,9 / 1,5,7 / 3,8 = $48 (Come on Dunce Cap) 3 of 4 Darn Skpa - At least I backed it up with a Pick 3 to lessen the blow.

Pick 3 starting race 7:

2,3,9 / 1,5,7 / 2,3,7,8 = $36

Not really...had him as B and downgraded to C to keep some kind of budget.

On to the Superbowl.

I'm actually not pissed at all.

My stratgy was really to capitalize on the #4 who I got live to a great will pay to and he lost. Rest would have been OK, but I wasn't going to use everyone in the finale. It's the pick4, sh*t happens...

When you take the cap off may I borrow it for leaving Sykpa off of my Pick 4.

That is BS. We all put our own tickets together and should play our own opinions.

Remember Opinions are like assholes, everynody has one and yours is the only one that doesn't stink!

I should have been already wearing it when he won as well.

I didn't like the favorite in there but only really used the second finisher and the ridiculous longshot that bolted. It didn't matter, as I used five horses in the last, and obviously not the winner. He felt like a " they knew " as he dropped from either 5-1 or 7-2 to 2-1 in the last flash.

That horse took some serious money. I didn't have it. but a buddy did.

I thought Starhumor would improve off of his last race and he had a perfect trip but was not good enough. Buddy's son has really improved Ty's Ridge as he's now 3 for 5 since entering Jacobson's barn.

People say things on the internet like that because they are cowards. If he made comments to people in person like that, after they had just lost a decent score, things would probably not be very civil....to say the least.

He's a troublemaker.....that's all.

Was feeling pretty good looking at tote. As they were loading those odds fell like a rock. That's The downside of betting 3 races in advance.

Last Sunday we cashed the third highest will pay on the post time fav (12-1 ML) 7/2 at post. One of the things that makes the pick 4 interesting.

Ronnie, pmac and I respect Andy's opinion tremendously. In the long run, he is right more than he is wrong and finds prices. Personally, I appreciate his opinion and if I take a tough beat from time to time I can easily live with it.
