I read she got a 66 beyer. She was the picture of consistency before this race. My opinion of her chances was downgraded when it rained, but I still didn't think she'd pack it in so soon.

I bet next year she'll around the top 3 in her division.

I actually had a chance to talk to Eibar Coa in the backyard between the Turf and the Classic. I asked him about the filly. One of my close friends is a syndicate member for Lear and Irish Smoke (Did they have better days?) Any way, Eibar said she is usually finicky on any surface but he is able to move her around and place her on a spot she likes. He said he was unable to do that with 11 horses around, so he took care of her when she really started to show distaste for the going. He said he wanted to keep her around safe and sound for next year. He said she was special.
