I really liked him in the turf. In my opinion McPeek is doing the wrong thing, but I've been wrong before. I realize his only dirt start was at 4 1/2 furlongs and i suppose it's possible his improvement was distance related and not surface. But, it seems like a mistake to me. I saw he is also replacing Perry Ouzts with bejarano. I was hoping for a price with Ouzts riding. He'll still be a price now, but he should be on the dirt.

And Indian Blessing - who owns the most spectacular 5.5 furlong MSW win at Saratoga this decade - had clearly the second fastest work at the distance...one full second slower.

It's nice to see after a couple wasted years that they are finally doing something to DC's benefit....getting him on his toes coming into a race....it's too bad they waited until he's ruined to take the kiddie gloves off.

If he had been firing off useless bullets like this with regularity back when he was 2 or 3, he probably would have never made it passed the UAE Derby.

You can fault Godolphin all you want for how they campaigned the horse, but you can't really complain about his preparation when he won every start by open lengths.
