Ginger Punch has been supplemented to run in the Distaff by Stronach Stables for $180,000...

This is true, but I thank him for doing so. More dead money in the win pool.

I see Hystericalady is cross entered...

I really like her in the Distaff.

There is a monster (literally) in this race, and she goes by the name of Unbridled Belle.

Will anything dare get in her way?

Hope she wins this.

I really like her in the Distaff.

yeah, she's my most likely winner on the card and i've liked her as my bc selection since the spring. taking that into account, plus that i need her to win to win the tvg contest, and that dorf is pretty stupid, i have a bad feeling she'll run in a stupid spot like the sprint.

hard to play against Pletcher in this one
but I will
Just don't know with what yet

Am I reading this right? As in.. 'Jerry Hollendorfer doesn't know how to spot his stock'? I'd have to disagree.

You are reading that right, but perhaps I overstated things a bit.

While I generally agree with you about him spotting his stock, it's when he gets a top class animal that he seems to short circuit.

i think nash key would win this one if they ran her here.
why are they putting her on the lawn?

It won't happen from the 12 spot.

It won't happen from the 12 spot.

looking at the geometry of the race, it seems pretty obvious that HL will be able to over and not get hung out 8 wide.

i could be wrong though. there are jockeys involved.

Hystericalady has a spectacular natural dirt history. The wetness won't be a problem(sire Distorted Humor, 1-1 wet record) . I'll go with her despite the post

jms62

Past Performance trumps Pedigree.... Here is why she won't win.

1. Poor Post position
2. Not even close to the Pace in this race. Her big win MP 48/111 not even close.
3. Her 1 1/8 race not a jaw dropper pace-wise
4. Never showed the ability to close down the stretch for a win except her 5f race at Pln

I'm glad I made you laugh... You can project past sprints to routes all day long, I'll take route lines when they are available. The fastest pace she stalked was 47 and change in a route and we see how that turned out. Never mind the death sentence post position.. Nor the lack of a win at 1 1/8 The pace of this race will be sub 46 and I don't see HL hanging with that for the W. But good luck with that and your other plays that day.

One off race by her and she's done? A waste? Ok

I can't speak for Andy -- but I think it had much less to do with her having "one off race," and much more to do with the fact that her several "on" races were incredibly unsinspiring and go a long way towards making her a big toss tomorrow.

Ummm I don't know about you but her Go For Wand victory was VERY VERY impressive

http://www.nyra.com/Saratoga/Broadcast/Video/StakesRaces.shtml#

and her Ruffian win was very solid.

But I don't know how you can claim that her Go For Wand victory was uninspriring.

I assume you will be holding Teammate in highest regard tomorrow afternoon.

Sorry if I'm not that impressed with her running off with wins over Teammate and Miss Shop in one race, and then.....Teammate and Miss Shop in her next race.

Stalking Teammate on the lead at Saratoga and pulling away from her in the stretch doesn't get my pulse racing.

And stalking Take D'Tour when she's running guns blazing on the front end, taking over when she tires, and then fending off....Teammate and Miss Shop isn't really what I'm looking for in trying to find a BC winner.

I couldn't have been further from the right one here. To think we didnt even throw a saver bet on the horse with my favorite jock on her. Damn me, damn, damn, damn me. My little brother went nuts when he seen that RB was on the rail fighting back, he looked at me out of the corner of his eye in disgust as we didnt even have her on one of our bets. Live and learn. Congratulations to those that backed her.

It made for an awesome race! One of the day's best. To think Bejarano piloted a qualified horse like her and we missed. If we hadnt been up so much before that, my brother would not be talking to me right now.

Impressed Now

I am.

You were right, I'll give you that.

And I owe you a wee bit for helping on my cashing my only ticket of the whole day. When I went home Friday night, I was looking through my TG sheets and got scared by her numbers, but still didn't really like her. I tossed her in at the last minute on a pick-3 starting on that leg (though I really liked Hystericalady), and it ended up being the only wager I cashed on the entire day.

Good call.

thanks man:) maybe it was because I was at Saratoga that day but the way she ran just totally floored me and thought she was something special.

Good job on cashing the ticket
