Well, the 62nd Little Brown Jug is coming fast, and wanted to get a little information to the horseplayers who are interested in this awesome event.
Entries are being taken, and the draw will take place this Saturday, Sept Always a Virgin, a 5-length winner of the Cane Pace, is still the heavy favorite to win the Jug in the Futures pools, but several other horses are right on his tail. This future pool is quite interesting due to the setup of the Little Brown Jug, and having the crapshoot or keen future handicapping right can produce a very nice payday (like last year's winner Mr. Feelgood.
If anyone is around the Central Ohio area and can make it happen, the entire Jug week is a very special event, and I suggest making it to at least one day of the races in Delaware County. The Juggette is on Wednesday, and admission is only $5, while the Jug is on Thursday, where admission is still only $15.
Complete information can be found at their website (http://www.littlebrownjug.com/), and after Saturday the fields will be set for the big race, so check back for updated information. Somewhat distant PP's are available on the site, as well as week-by-week updates on the top contenders.
Hope to see a few DT'ers up there...
