High prices keep the rif raf out of New York...:D Seriously Southwest and the rest of the airlines know Saratoga is the place to be and they raise rates during the summer meet to maximize their profits. You'll see their rates drop as soon as the meet is over back to their usual $39-59 one way fares! :(

Tell me about it- I drive to work every day, thankfully I can use the free bridge (3rd Ave) otherwise it would cost me $10.25 daily. No wonder I'm moving out of the city.

Been there...Jet Blue to San Diego...they don't boost prices (you might sit on the tarmac at JFK for 4 hours and lose your luggage with them though), stay in Carlsbad, dinner at the Beach House Rest. in LaJolla right on the Pacific Ocean at sundown. Nothing like it, but your right, bring the Brinks truck for that trip! But great location for the track and oh those filly's!

And no wonder why I limit the day's I go into the city BY CAR! I have to pay $4 at the Tri Boro or Throgs Neck and another $6 at GW or Lincoln Tunnel just to get to Meadowlands or Monmouth Park! and then pay again to get back.
