Pletcher has a first-timer in here that can run. Don't let the slow works fool you. This colt worked :21 1/5 at the Ocala March Sale, which was the fastest work of the day at the first preview. He was a $290,000 buy-back. I didn't love the horse, but he can definitely run. He didn't make my list but I still think he will be tough today. He's kind of a big, long-striding horse. So I don't know if he will necessarily be that quick from the gate. I would have preferred an outside post just in case he doesn't break that quick.
Anyway, I wouldn't make a big bet on him but I can tell you that he has a lot more ability than you would be able to tell based on his slow works in the Form.

Richi, were you at that sale too? Are you talking about the Wiseman's Ferry colt? Good looking colt... I liked him, but I liked that Johannesburg colt a lot too. He was RNA'd as well.

Sorry... was posting the same time everyone was typing. Unfortunately, I can't watch the races from work so missed it.

Peter: "Well Bob, I'd say I do about 15 minutes of real, actual work a day."
Bobs: "This Peter is a real straight shooter, upper management written all over him!"

I see Grandcentral Parkway is in there as well.

Wasn't he the subject of his own thread at some point?

And he continues to justify that thread more and more with each passing start.

yesterday pletcher had a 2 yr old filly that won @ bel; Glacken's Girl. Today his 2 yr old colt Fort Drum won. pletcher horses always take money at belmont, especially the 2 yr olds.
