Race 7) Ignoring the four starts for SUPPLY GUY in Tampa this 4yo has shown nice improvement and if he gets this middle distance will certainly run a new top.. Oldsmar oval as tricky as any surface and the optional claimers can hold some difficult customers. Last in Hallendale against similar suffices here as the capable Granitz had no options in Chicago. Guidry who finishes as well as any in the midwest draws the fence and has a below average group for this level to beat.

Race 8) Nine panels on the green for maiden fillies and mares lures two from Rusty Arnold's barn. Clever conditioner did not enter either off the pace runners Friday so he could get the hedge today and 4yo TREASURE CHEST looks formidable. Pricey LDK weanling came off the shelf to miss to wire to wire Claiborne 8-5 shot with the rail way out, then could not close into sharp late fractions against Pletcher repeater again with the rail out. Gets the weekend shrubs today and need only repeat either of her previous to score with Bejarano up. Adding LAST KITTEN who caught a real nice filly in her only try and as a half to a champion and a full to a graded winner should relish the sod and Leparoux a capable replacement for Raffie who jumps to the top pick. From the powerful Frankel/Ramsey stable her last work in company with the talented Tight Grip spot on... also TABATODO who will be overlooked in the wagering but is a homey out of a mare who could flat run on the lawn (95 Beyer, $110K on turf) and appeared uncomfortable, as many are, first time blinkers when caught between horses in last. Improvement expected, out of a half to Turkoman, cushy post and Lanerie should fit well.

Race 9) Oxley long ago dumped the industry mantra "breed the best to the best and hope for the best" and now buys "sale toppers". Nice work if you can get it! Trouble is he gives them to Ward and after a handful of starts they generally regress substantially. Nevertheless colt is 3-5 on the morning line and deserves lofty billing with well in hand work this week a second faster than all others and at three eights that is some spread. Other works indicate foot problems not completely over with so will add FOREST PHANTOM who is two for fifteen but has come to hand for Amoss and appears to tower over the rest.

Race 10) Pace a plenty as one would expect going five green panels and CHOSEN CHIEF might be the one. Bindner senior citizen gets Robbie, the boss of the midwest moss, and the hedge after nominating, (note grass work) then passing, Derby week stake for this spot. Marquetry gelding usually takes a few to get rolling and after New Orleans stake try closed well against similar. Last in Cincy a poly tuneup for $300K earner who can make no mistakes against salty crew. MIGHTY BEAU has been mighty average lately but on his best day can outgame these. Tough to play older with two months off but he loves this course and has been working well. Also KENTA KUN who has been off since getting roughed up in Saratoga and has been drilled in his three works since and will appreciate the race shape should he be tight enough. Tough sequence. Good cappin. BBB
