Haven't posted much in this selections room, but Calder is my home track, so here we go:

Caveat: I am a pick 3 / pick 4 player so I handicap accordingly.

RACE 1 - PICK 4

The chalk ( rail horse ) appears beatable at short odds.
#3 Moonlight Event ( 5-2 ) - underrated jockey assures value, like the turf to dirt move.
#6 Fappie's Crown ( 3-1 ) - First off the claim, turns back in distance, horse is 4 for 4 in the exacta at the distance.

RACE 2

Wide open race
#7 - American Border ( 6-1 ) - Throw out his last in the slop, faced lots tougher at GP, Don't like his habit of 2nd place finishes but Elvis is riding well and knows this horse. chance at good price
#8 - Perfect Lie ( 6-1 )- Tactical speed, first time turf ( 4.89 ROI ) First w/ Trainer ( 25% ) Was running in stakes company last year, faces much easier today
#6 - Curious Slew ( 6-1 )Tampa runners are way underrated and usually run well at this meet drops from open N1x to N2L
#1 - Blue Angel ( 8-1 )- Nice breeding, Nunez rides well on turf, 2nd off layoff - WON 23.40

RACE 3

#6 - Dynappeal( 5-2 ) - First off the claim for ATRAB host J.J. Graci and daughter Kim. Loves the distance ( 7 / 3-2-1 ) Could be a single.WON 9.40, 6-4 EXACTA - Paid $48.60

#4 - Acuity ( 6-1 )- Very nice races last year here, running against much tougher at GP, loves CRC - tread with caution, not a fan of this trainer, but could steal the race on the front end
2 for 2 at distance

RACE 4

#7 Super Miracle ( 6-1 ) - Blengs' trainee has been most effective on today's grass surface.
# 8 Bourbon Night ( 3-1 ) - Kirk Zaidie has a mysterious way of moving horses up ( 48% ) 1st W/ Trainer. If he runs back to his July '06 race here then the rest are running for 2nd - WON 4.60

Playing just two races.

r5: Playing against the Pletcher firster here. 3 yo filly hasn't been much in the morning and should get bet fairly hard being Pletcher/Unbridled Song. I also don't care all that much for Chippi off the layoff. I'm going 4,7/1,4,7,8,10 in the ex and tri.

r9: Playing against Pletcher again here. His horse, Portafortuna, will be a shrt number but to me she didn't look good on the track in either of the two GP races and she's had just one modest grass work since her last race 5+ weeks ago. I'll play an exacta ticket of 3,5/3,4,5.

good luck...

Your picks are pretty good today.
You had the super in race 6, although it was a little chalky.
